Privacy Policy

2. What data we collect

• When you book: name, email, phone, dates of stay, number and ages of guests, chosen rooms and extras (parking, pet), notes to the booking, payment details (amount and date, no bank card data).
• At check-in: the identity document details the hotel is required to enter in the register of accommodated tourists under the Bulgarian Tourism Act.
• When you use the contact form: name, email and your message.
• Technical data: IP address and the date and time of the booking or enquiry.

3. Why we use it and on what basis

• Processing and fulfilling your booking, contacting you before and during your stay - performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
• Guest registration, accounting and tax obligations - legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• Protection against abuse and spam - legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Sending offers and discounts by email or SMS - with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) or, for former guests of the hotel, about similar hotel services - legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by writing to us.

4. Who receives the data

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. Your data may be processed by:

• the hosting provider whose servers run the website;
• Google (the reCAPTCHA service that protects the forms from spam);
• the SMS provider (bizSMS), when we send you offers by SMS;
• the bank through which you make the payment;
• public authorities, where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

• Bookings and related data - 5 years after the stay, unless the law requires longer (e.g. accounting documents).
• Data for offers and discounts - until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only the email or phone, so that we do not contact you again.
• Contact form enquiries - up to 1 year.
• Technical records (logs) - up to 1 year.

6. Cookies

The website uses only necessary cookies: a session cookie that keeps your choices during the booking, and the Google reCAPTCHA cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. Write to us at info [at] hotel-belitsa [dot] com - we will reply within 1 month.
